Tax Men ink 2015 Calcutta; Win-Docs big finish for second

Amherst, N.Y. -- The Tax Men captured their third title, and first since 2004, nailing 13 wins to the blackboard and holding off the late-charging Win-Docs who finished second behind national champion Duke.

The morning line favorites were true to form riding Frank the Tank to the national title tilt, clinching the Yellow Jacket on Saturday night with the big upset win over Kentucky. Riding Louisville to the Elite Eight and Utah to the Sweet Sixteen put them in command and they never looked back during the stretch. They survived the Commish's morning line jinx and put together a solid Calcutta.

The Win-Docs. The good doctor put together a solid draft night and came away with the place spot and the national champion taking home 700 beans. The Docs picked their sixth national champion in 17 years of the Calcutta, the top mark of any squad. It was their fourth top choice in the last eight years. The difference makers besides the Blue Devils winning it all was 11-seed UCLA crashing the Sweet Sixteen and 6-seed and Commish sleeper Xavier also matching UCLA's efforts.

It was a comeback year for the Docs who haven't sniffed the board in three years, and that was a tie for third. It'll be interesting who gets the nod on draft night next year.

The Elders. Slow and steady wins the race, and this team cashed again, slipping into the third slot after holding second-place for most of the Calcutta. Doing it without their highest seed not winning a game is testament to the drafting strategy of the old guys. Devoid of a title since 2011, they still are a force to be reckoned with every March.

Once again the ASR came into play with the top three teams have three of the four best ASR ratings. Only the Chiefans, who had the third best ASR were left out of the money.

Congrats to the winners and see ya next year!
