Hail to the Chief!

Hail to the Bunch of Chieftans for creating a nice 3-way (has a nice ring to it, eh?).  They pick up an extra 200 beans and the first spot on the Calcutta Chalise trophy.

The Bunch secured a record 5th Calcutta title with UConn's ugly victory over a brick-induced Butler squad.

Congrats to the two other co-champions, the Elder Statesmen and the Catholic Boyz for great runs at the Calcutta title.

The title is the third for both the Statesmen and the Boyz.  A job well done.

Until next year boys......The Commish

Catholic Boyz Catch Slice: Unprecedented 3-Way Tie Looms

Congrats to the Catholic Boyz who have gained a place on the coveted Chalise for the second time in three years with the Butler Bulldogs big victory over the Elders' upstart VCU Rams.

The Bunch of Chieftans stayed alive with a barnburning UConn victory over the Elders' chance to clinch a piece of the Calcutta title.  Instead, the Bunch can grab a record 5th title and create an unprecedented 3-way tie for the victory.

It's been a great Calcutta so far, and the closest that I can remember...

The scenarios:

Butler wins:
Catholic Boyz  1,200
Elders 500
Bunch 300

UConn wins:
Bunch 800
Catholic Boys 600
Elders 600

Good luck to all!
