Mark your calendars for March 15th when we'll tip off the 2011 edition of the Calcutta in the CTB&K Main Conference Room. Please let me know if you are unable to make it or if you will be sending a team representative.We'll be celebrating the 13th annual calcutta draw this year and based on last year's record-tying results (tie between the Win-Docs and Brady Bunch) this year should be one not like any other (if I can quote my pal in the media business, Jim Nantz).
The coveted Yellow Jacket and elusive Chalise (sic) are awaiting this year's winner......but many questions loom....
- Will the Big East land 11 teams in the tournament, only to have 10 of them go out in the first two rounds?
- Will the Commish hit the board this year?
- Will Coach K throw a hissy fit before the sweet sixteen?
- Will the Catholic Boyz select Temple?
- Will Daggum Roy get his Tar Heels into the tournament?
- Will Smitty fit into the Yellow Jacket?
- Will Jim Burr and Tim Higgins draw the same regional and get loaded before the game?
- Will Brad Hall show up for the draw?
- Will Ed Hightower pull an Ed Hochuli and wear the tightest ref shirt possible?
- Will there be bathroom breaks for the Elder Statesmen?
- Will Kansas get beat by an international sharp shooter from Turkey?
- Have the 3 Amigos been squabbling and potentially have a team shakeup?
